But Gerrard, speaking on Tuesday ahead of Aberdeens mid-week visit to Ibrox, responded: “Craig’s entitled to his opinion, like I am when I speak about Hearts or Aberdeen or whoever it may be.“I saw the interview when he said they were playing against 13 men. The only mistake I saw in the interview was that it was 14, because our fans were superb on the day.So it was probably 14 they played against.”Gerrard was similarly dismissive of Levein’s comments on the style of play of Morelos.“Well, what we’ll do then to make all the other managers in the league happy, we’ll tell Alfredo not to compete,” he said.“We’ll tell him to just get kicked from pillar to post from the first minute to the last. We’ll tell him just not to go near anyone.Morelos has scored 17 goals for Rangers this season4

“We’ll make it non-contact for Alfredo, see if they all like it and then no one will complain.”Morelos has netted 17 goals in 29 appearances this season and could attract interest in the January transfer window. But Gerrard insists it will take a big offer to snap the 22-year-old up.He said: “I’m not really interested in what anyone says about Alfredo, he is playing great and look at the goals he has scored.“He has got himself fitter and stronger and he deserves all the credit.Gerrard insists Rangers will not give up Morelos without a fight4

“In pre-season, Alfredo pushed himself to the max in every session. He is smiling and the players love having him here.“It can be inviting for players to look around but, for all our boys look around, the love you get here from the fans is hard to get anywhere else.“For any club looking over our fence, if you want our players you have to come with top top money.”
