Usain Bolt has been offered the chance to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional footballer after being contacted by Turkish side Sivasspor.The world’s fastest man has made no secret of his desire to play the beautiful game ever since he retired from sprinting in 2017.2

His most recent attempt at securing a contract occurred earlier this year when he had a trial with Central Coast Mariners in Australia and then scored two goals in a 4-0 friendly win overMacarthur South West United in October.However, Bolt was released by the Australian side after they failed to reach an agreement over salary.Sivasspor are currently 11th in the Turkish Super Lig and have former Premier League players Robinho and Arouna Kone among their ranks.Bolt won eight Olympic gold medals for Jamaica and three world records, one of which is the quickest time ever in the 100m sprint, with a time of 9:58 which was set in 2009 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.2

Prior to his stint down under, the 32-year-old had trained with Borussia Dortmund and appeared in a friendly match for Norwegian club Stromsgodset.While Bolt has been praised by some for pursuing his dream, others have been slightly more critical, including Andy Keogh, who said the striker had a first touch ‘like a trampoline’.  Earlier this month, Bolt had admitted his hopes of finding a club may be fading.He said: “I will make a decision at the end of November. Either I will continue or I will end my dreams. This is not about money. This is my dream.”
